I am currently getting ready for Art on the Alley, which is the May 4th, 2025, 11am-4pm downtown New Philadelphia, OH. Trying to think about what a wide audience would want to buy and my own interests, I have been making pen and ink drawings of birds in Ohio. I colored them with markers and then added lines and details overtop with pen and ink. Using the pen and ink has been nice because it slows down the process and allows for more variation in line quality. Also, unable to be seen in the pictures, there is a different feel to the paper after it has been scratched up by the pen tip, which is oddly satisfying. I will continue to make more and eventually make prints and stickers out of these drawings. Please come to Art on the Alley to support me and many other talented local artists.
