Thank you all who came and supported me at Art on the Alley this past weekend. Because of people like you, I am able to have the time and resources to make my artwork. I cannot thank my supporters enough.
Late last year I started making drawings that I call “Stream of Consciousness” drawings. It is a process based artwork. I start by drawing scribbles all over the page with a light pencil. Then I use a pen dipped in ink, or sometimes just a micron pen or marker, and fill in the scribbled pencil lines. What I choose to draw with pen is decided in the moment. I look at the pencil lines and draw what I see. This allows for a personal surrealist drawing to emerge. Often similar imagery shows up; fish, eyes, faces, the moon, animals, birds. By using the stream of consciousness drawing process, it allows for ideas that are closer to the surface of my mind to appear on the page making each of these drawings a psychological snapshot of moments in my life.
If any of these drawings look interesting to you, please reach out for a print or the original. 8×11 prints are $15 and 4×6 prints are $10 (shipping not included).
