Everything that is given to humans is given to us by something else. Our genetics come from our parents, who get theirs from their parents, and so on. All the knowledge we have learned is just information that was given to us from someone else or learned by observing the environment. Even new technology could not be produced without prior knowledge of other inventions. The smart phone could not have been created without the internet, the invention of the telephone, or even our understanding and need for a complex language. Everything that we learn and know has to have some ground in reality.
